Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering is strong. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the thing that matters. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You deposit, they top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
